Work's A Bitch

It's a shitty rainy day today and I'm at work, as always. I usually work just about every day, with one day off on Saturdays. I need time to rest from this place. Some days I'm serving, but Tuesdays through Thursdays I Host (cause we just recently let go of one of our hostesses and it's also slow season). I look all snazzy but I'm BORED out of my mind on shitty rainy days like this when there's nothing to do and no one is coming in.

Also.... I need a bowl...

Our building is also an office space, so if you leave through our back entrance you're in the lobby of a large office building, so there are a lot of businesses that join us for lunch, which is extremely convenient. We're more or less upscale casual dining, but we take a certain pride in the food we make and present to our guests. It's why I've been here for almost 2 years.

There's this guy that always comes in, and he is the typical Republican douchebag that he just LOOKS like he is. He hates when we have cold soups during the summer. He says, and I quote "This is America, we eat real soups here." And if he does get one of our soups (Beautiful Clam Chowder or Spicy Azteca Soup) he ruins it with "croutons and bacon"... Ugh... lol, but oh so typical of him.

To make matters worse, he also seats himself (and his buddies from the business he works for) in our lounge, which is behind the glass behind the host stand; kinda hard to see. When he used to do it, I honestly wouldn't even know he's there. I'm all for breaking away from "the system" but there has to be some sort of organization.

Today he asked our manager to put on FOX News.... big surprise... How anyone could think that's news when they're all just screaming all the time, is... lol well it's news to me.
