Love Never Dies: Channeling Phantom - New Changes

I'll start off by showing you a couple pictures. The first is the original poster for the musical, the second is from 2004's The Phantom of The Opera, and another from the reworked Love Never Dies, the new Phantom of the Opera Musical

I will start off by saying that I LOVE this musical. I loved it originally, and I even love what I've heard about the new changes. We'll get to the explanation of that a little later. Something to think on, though, what do you think they were going for when they did this homage to the Phantom Movie? Was it sort of like "Yeah, remember how the movie played out in the black and white parts? Yeah, this is our show explaining that." And if anyone out there is too smart for your own good, then I'm sorry I ruined the plot of the show for you in that one sentence.

THOUGH the plot, some said, wasn't really great, I felt it was a great way to end the love story on a "good note" if you will. The music is gorgeous, the story progresses well, and all the right Andrew Lloyd Webber signatures in the music are there; the sweeping music, the gorgeous arias, the troubled character's woes through song, it's just amazing if you love this sort of thing.

It's hard, sometimes, for me to let go of what reality looks like, so I can escape to another place. Movies are great, music really gets me close, but musicals, I feel that I have physically escaped to another place and I am watching this story happen live before me.I love that I can't experience it in any other way but that medium. That's why my heart still yearns for the theater sometimes.... I'll sing for you guys sometime. If you know where to look on youtube, you'll find me
