The "Characters in Flight" balloon that is usually seen flying high over Downtown Disney has been removed and dismantled and is closed, and not expected to reopen.... Shocking and sudden news seeing as nothing actually happened with the balloon in Downtown Disney
Our story takes us to June 28th, in Hong Kong, where a similar balloon in a theme park called "Ocean Park" sprang a helium leak, and plummeted 20 feet down, injuring 5.
Disney happens to purchase its helium for its balloon from the same company, Aerophile.
